Dr. Colton MacLean believes that movement is one of the most powerful tools we have to improve our health and quality of life. Whether your goal is to compete in sport, keep up with your children, return to work, or simply move without pain, he believes your body is remarkably strong, adaptable, and capable of recovery with the right guidance.

Growing up in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Dr. MacLean spent his winters playing hockey and his summers water skiing and boating. His passion for hockey brought him to Fort Qu’Appelle, where he played four seasons with the Fort Knox. During his playing career, he experienced firsthand the benefits of chiropractic care, which ultimately inspired him to pursue a career helping others stay active and healthy.

After hockey, Dr. MacLean completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology, majoring in Human Kinetics, at the University of Regina before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota, graduating in 2020.

Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. MacLean continues to expand his knowledge through advanced postgraduate education. He has completed the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1 and Medical Level 2 certifications, allowing him to better assess and treat golfers of all abilities. He has also completed training in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Motion Palpation, FAKTR, and MRT, helping him identify the underlying movement limitations that often contribute to pain and injury.

Dr. MacLean believes that lasting results come from addressing more than just symptoms. While hands-on treatment plays an important role, he also emphasizes the lifestyle factors that have a profound impact on recovery and overall health. Stress management, quality sleep, proper nutrition, hydration, regular exercise, and healthy movement habits all influence how the body heals, performs, and feels on a daily basis. His goal is to help patients understand these connections and give them the tools to take an active role in their own health.

Every treatment begins with a thorough history and assessment to understand not only where the pain is, but why it developed and how it is affecting your life. Dr. MacLean works alongside each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan that focuses on reducing pain, improving movement, and building long-term resilience. His treatments may include chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitative exercise, laser therapy, taping, movement education, and personalized strategies to help patients succeed both inside and outside the clinic.

Dr. MacLean enjoys treating patients of all ages and activity levels, from individuals managing everyday aches and pains to recreational and competitive athletes. His evidence-informed, ethical approach focuses on helping patients move better, recover faster, and continue doing the activities they love.

Outside the clinic, Dr. MacLean enjoys spending time with his wife and son, running, playing hockey, golfing, water skiing, and taking advantage of everything the Saskatchewan outdoors has to offer.
